How to be Confident AF

How to be Confident AF

Are you struggling to feel confident?

Do you wish you were like other women who seem to have it together?

You know the kind I’m talking about!

They’re all done up wearing the latest trend. Hair and makeup are always on fleek! Their fingers are perfectly manicured.

The make life seems effortless!

It seems like the world is their oyster and they can get what they want when they want it. Wouldn't that be nice if that indeed happened for the rest of us?

 Wait, maybe it can!

Maybe, just maybe, you could look and act like you’ve got your shit together and that you’re living pretty damn good life. Perhaps it’s all a shift in perspective and for you to take care of your mind, body, and soul!

What do you think? Is it possible that shifting your thoughts could change your reality and boost your confidence through the roof?

It’s plausible, right?

If you’re struggling with your confidence; whether you’re a new Mom who’s trying to accept her new body, you’re an entrepreneur who is struggling to get prospects to take her seriously or if even you’re just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her. ( Quote that movie!)

I want you to know that no matter what you’re going through where your confidence is low AF, my mission for you is to raise the bar! We’re gonna raise the mutha effing roof up in here so that you can feel, act and believe that you are confident AF.

Are you ready?

Sweeeet! Let’s do this!

Groom Yourself

Feeling confident AF starts with caring for yourself. I don’t know about you, but going without a shower for 3-4 days in a row is, well, disgusting. Trust me; I get it. I’m a Mom too and getting a shower in can be difficult.

However, difficult doesn’t mean impossible!

Showering, brushing your hair and teeth, and getting dressed are basic needs. These are normal, and natural hygiene needs that you shouldn’t push to the side because “you don’t have time”. I call bullshit on that excuse. We make time for the things that matter the most to us. Are your health and wellbeing important to you? I sure as hell hope so!

Caring for yourself isn’t selfish. Grooming yourself isn’t a chore. It’s time to stop being a slob and start being a bombshell!

Groom yourself on the reg! You’ll start to feel like a million bucks!

Let go of the Fear

Fear has a funny way of showing up sometimes. As much as we may want to admit that we’re not afraid of something we know that deep down, we are. What are you so scared of? Admit it, your lack of confidence is primarily due to the FEAR OF REJECTION.

The horror! How could someone not like you, right? I mean you’re adorable, funny, and intelligent. What’s not to like?

Listen, ditch that fear stat! It’s not serving you positively. Here’s a dose of some tough love. Not everyone is going to love you. You’re not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. The sooner you realize that the better off you’ll be. Eff those that don’t like you for you, quirks, flaws, and all. Why? Because those that love you are the ones that matter.

You can’t control how others feel about you.

Stay in your lane and focus on what’s in front of you. It’s YOU! Your quirky vibe will attract your tribe. Those that love you will love you for who you are. Those that don’t, well, it’s none of your damn business. Let it go! Move on!

Ditch the Perfectionism

Perfectionism is the thievery of joy! True story.

Stop trying to be perfect. Stop trying to act perfectly. Stop trying to do anything perfectly.

Reality check! No matter how hard you try, you’ll never be perfect. Perfectionism keeps you on a hamster wheel day after day, week after week, and so on. You’re robbing your life of joy!

Do what feels good to you. Say what you want to say. Do what you want to do.

Your happiness is what’s most important. You have ONE life to live so you may as well make it a good one!

Let go of the need to be perfect and be in the moment. Strive for progress, not perfection because we’re all a work in progress.

Focus on What You can Control

If you’re a control freak, I’m sorry, but you gotta learn to let that shit go! There’s no way you could control everything. It’s not going to happen. Sorry, not sorry.

Trying to control everything actually, makes you feel like a failure when something doesn’t work out just right. Which also is directly linked to the fear of rejection and perfectionism.

It’s a free fall down the black hole fast!

I mean seriously, think about it. Nothing good can come from trying to be in control of everything, to be a perfectionist, to wanting everyone and their sister to love you.

Cripe! That’s overwhelming exhausting just thinking about it. I mean to the point that my anxiety kicks into high gear. Yikes!

Focus on what you can control, which is YOU.

Kill the NATS + Think Positive

Your mindset plays the leading role in this play we call life. Change your thoughts, change your destiny!

When you start to have negative thoughts, squash them! Flip the switch and for every negative thought think of three positive statements of truth that contradict the negative automatic thought (NAT).

Think positively! Look for the silver lining in every situation. No one likes to be around an Eeyore. And playing Eeyore in real life sure is an energy sucker! It’s no wonder you’re not feeling confident AF.

I mean am I right? Yes, or yes?

Everything I outlined for you here all deals with mindset! Yes, even the grooming aspect because you must change your thoughts about grooming to take the very actions necessary to groom yourself daily.

Mindset is freaking everything!

Work that mindset muscle, and you’ll be confident AF.
